Between 30th June and 1st July 2022, the Moldova masterclass was held in person in Chișinău with the Center for Ethnology of Moldova, targeting heritage professionals and public sector officials. Participants learnt about Jewish cemeteries in Moldova as a unique part of its cultural heritage, shared experience in protecting Jewish cemeteries and other Moldovan heritage and discussed best practices and possible projects for protecting heritage in the Republic of Moldova. The masterclass included a visit to two Jewish cemeteries – Onițcani and Călărași – which, according to feedback, was extremely informative and interesting to our guests. The event was attended by 30 participants, some of which were from the Ministry of Culture and the Heritage Conservation offices.
