The seminar began with introductory remarks by Dr Jana Odrobiňáková (MSNP), Magdalena Farnesi (Centropa Budapest), (ESJF) and local representatives and invited guests. A screening of the short film: "Foundation ESJF and its rescue program Jewish cemeteries" was followed by a workshop on Epitaph & tombstone symbols given by Dr Lenka Uličná from the Center for Judaic Studies at Palacký University. Participants then had a guided visit of the local Jewish cemetery in Banská Bystrica. Later, there was a presentation of the Centropa database and a Centropa film screening by Magdaléna Farnesi. The second day of the seminar included another visit to the Jewish cemetery, guided by Dr. Rachel Herrmannova, which was followed by some tasks. This was followed by group work and presentations on how to use Jewish cemeteries within school projects.
